LOCAL GOVERNMENT

The City of Bayard is a Mayor-Council form of government which consists of one Mayor and four city councilors elected at large.  Each elected official serves a term of four years with elections held on even numbered years.

City Administration. The Administrative staff includes services for finance, payroll, utilities and motor vehicle transactions.

Public Safety

The Public Safety Division includes the Municipal Court, Polica Department, Fire Department and EMS Services.

Utilities

The Utilities Division includes the Solid Waste Department, Water and Sewer Department and the Wastewater Treatment Facility.

Cultural and Recreation

The Cultural and Recreation Division includes the Public Library, Community Center, municipal parks as well as various boards and committees.
